"Liam" is a 1-2 year old Irish Setter. Liam could be a poster boy for male Irish Setters. Not only is he beautiful, though quite skinny at 72 pounds, he is smart, funny, affectionate, energetic, has a great attitude, wonderful personality, and is a true rascal. He's a great runner, is a clever counter surfer, and never holds a grudge when he has misbehaved. Liam loves people, is great with dogs, OK with cats, and would be fine with older kids. He loves car rides too.
"Liam" is housebroken, has no medical problems, loves company and dislikes being left alone (no companions). He will need obedience training even though he has some manners. "Liam" is a typical young Irish Setter. He is very high energy and needs allot of exercise. "Liam" needs to live with another active dog for company, and have
sufficient property to allow him to race furiously and exercise his long legs. He MUST have secure fencing around the ENTIRE property - a back yard will not do for "Liam". Because he was rescued along a freeway, he is known to get loose and run. Regular access to safe running area is a must for him. Leash walks will not do the job!
Liam brings sunshine and smiles wherever he goes. Though he is a rascal, it's very difficult to stay annoyed with him very long, as he doesn't take it personally! He is an absolute joy!
If you are looking for an active, handsome boy, and you have the time, space and energy to devote to a happy, busy Setter, "Liam" may be the dog for you. If you would like to adopt "Liam" go to our Adoption Form page to access our adoption form.
